Miner's lamp contain a variety of types. Based on the ways of carrying, it includes handheld lamps and head lamps (or cap lamps). The cap lamp is the easiest device to carry for underground miners.
Mine safety regulations state that miner's lamp should be provided with a minimum of 11 hours of continuous normal use. After receiving lamps from the lamp room, the miners should check as follows.
(1) Whether the battery box has the words of mining product safety mark and unified number.
(2) Whether there is any rupture of the battery box or leakage of liquid at the gas-permeable cover.
(3) Whether there is any damage to the lamp line, whether the lamp line is firmly connected with the battery and the lamp head, whether the lamp line is well sealed at the two ends of the exit and entrance, and whether the length of the lamp line should be more than 1m.
(4) Whether the lamp head ring is loose, whether the lamp housing is broken or not, whether the lamp surface glass is cracked or not.
(5) Whether the switch on the lamp is complete and secure.
(6) Whether the lamp lock is well locked, without loosening.
(7) Whether the light is luminous.
If miners find that the lamp has any problems mentioned above, ask the workers in the lamp room to repair or replace the lamp.
Each miner is required to pay attention to the following safety matters in the process of using the miner's lamp.
(1) The miner should receive and return the lamp to the lamp room at the specified time with the lamp card.
(2) After getting the lamp, check whether the lamp is in good condition, or ask the staff of the lamp room to repair or replace it in time if any problem is found.
(3) After a check to ensure that there is no problem, wear the lamp before entering the mine, without carrying in the hand. The light box with a belt tied in the waist, the cap hook is inserted in the helmet.
(4)Take care of the lamp, it is strictly prohibited to disassemble, knock and strike the lamp in the underground, to avoid generating electric sparks and causing gas or dust explosion accidents.
(5) Forbid to carry the lamp cord in your hand and fling the lamp head, to avoid damage to the lamp cord.
(6) The lamp must be equipped with a reliable short-circuit protection device. The high gassy mine should be equipped with a short circuit protector.
(7) Forbid to use the battery of the mining lamp instead of the blasting machine.
(8) After exiting the mine, the lamp must be returned to the lamp room immediately so that it can be recharged in time. If the work requires continuous shifts, the lamp must be changed.
(9) In case of breakdown during use, take the initiative to explain to the lamp room personnel when returning the lamp.
(10) Users of fixed lamps are not allowed to exchange lamps with others.
(11) The lamps returned should be kept in good condition and damage-free.
